Pashmina and Silk Shawl in Salmon Pink |
|
| |
| Add a nice accent to any outfit with the Pashmina Silk shawl. This salmon pink colored shawl has been handwoven using a two-ply yarn certified as 70-percent Pashmina/30-percent silk. The fabric is dyed using modern colorfast, Swiss-made dyes. Generously sized, the shawl measures 38 inches wide by 80 inches long; each end is finished with rich 3-inch fringe. Pashmina is the Tibetan name for cashmere. 'Pashm,' which means 'inner,' comes from the underbelly fur of the mountain goats that live in the foothills of the Himalayas and the high Tibetan plateau. Every summer shepherds gather this under fur from the goats; it's then cleaned and spun into a fine cashmere yarn. Among the several varieties and qualities of Pashmina, the most popular is the blend of Pashmina and silk. When these materials are properly combined they produce a luxurious, sophisticated shawl which will last for years. Imported |
